Improper Valve Operation
........\\\///........
RELIEF VALVE PRESSURE LOW OR ZERO
  Possible Causes   Remedy
1) Incorrect adjustment. 1) Check pressure with gage and readjust as necessary.
2) Contaminants holding valve partially open. 2) Disassemble valve and inspect for burrs and other contaminants. Drain and flush the system. Refill with filtered recommended fluid.
3) Worn or damaged seat, poppet, or spool. 3) Replace damaged parts.
4) Plugged orifice. 4) Disassemble and clean
5) Broken spring. 5) Replace spring or valve if necessary.
6) Valve spool scored. 6) Remove and replace.
7) Solenoid not working. 7) Check electrical voltage supply. Check for loose or broken connection.

  Possible Causes   Remedy
1) Valves leaking by their seat. 1) Remove and repair or replace seat. Drain and flush system of contamination. Refill with filtered recommended fluid. Check valve spool for misalignment.
2) Fluid viscosity too high or too low. 2) Drain, flush, and refill with filtered recommended fluid.
3) Working pressure of system is the same as the relief valves setting. 3) Readjust the relief valve setting to at least 150 psi above the system working pressure. (If the working pressure and the system pressure cannot be separated by 150 psi, consider the use of cooler circuit.)
